The two main factors that impact US gas prices are the price of crude oil and federal and state gasoline taxes. You can get more details on our pricing page.

Synergy Supreme+ premium gas offers a new, more innovative additive package. It’s a mix of key ingredients such as special detergents, solvents and a friction modifier, which lead to an engine that is 3x cleaner.‡‡

Synergy Supreme+ premium gas provides enhanced wear protection, better gas mileage, better engine protection and better engine responsiveness.** We added an additional detergent designed for Gasoline Direct Injection engines and upped the ante with product testing that goes above and beyond our traditional benchmarks.††

Synergy Supreme+ premium gas offers 30% less wear and tear on the engine for better engine protection.††
Having a cleaner engine is important because as residue builds up over time, it negatively impacts the fuel economy of your vehicle. Additionally, deposit buildup on intake valves and fuel injectors impacts your vehicle’s engine responsiveness and performance.†† As the saying goes, you are what you eat – and your vehicle is no exception.

Some people might feel that premium gas is an unnecessary luxury, however, fueling up with a higher-quality gasoline really can impact your vehicle’s fuel economy and engine responsiveness. In addition, our Synergy Supreme+ premium gasoline contains higher levels of additive which, in addition to even better cleanliness, provides enhanced wear protection and improves your vehicle performance.**

Exxon and Mobil stations conduct robust oversight programs to ensure the consistent quality of our premium fuels. They test the fuels to ensure the appropriate level of additives are incorporated and that the fuel meets the designated octane level.

The benefits of our premium gas apply across vehicle technologies, including those with turbocharged engines. Turbocharged engines typically respond to premium fuel with high octane better than naturally aspirated engines due to their higher cylinder pressures, which increase the knocking tendency that higher octane helps manage. The level of improvement depends on a variety of factors, which can include engine design and calibration, driving conditions and driving style.
