DISCONTINUED - The Lidok EP Series greases are being replaced with the equivalent grades of Beacon EP Series greases, with the exception of Lidok EP 000, for which Mobilux EP 023 is the replacement.

The Exxon LIDOK EP line of premium quality products consists of four general-purpose greases and a special-purpose semi-fluid grease. All contain lithium 12-hydroxystearate soap thickener. The multi-purpose features of LIDOK EP greases include good water resistance, high-temperature performance, resistance to mechanical breakdown, very good oxidation resistance, good rust protection, and fortified extreme-pressure properties. The extreme-pressure and anti-wear characteristics of LIDOK EP greases enable them to serve under conditions and loads common to general industrial service. In continuously running equipment at moderate load, LIDOK EP greases are effective over a temperature range 35º C to 105º C and up to 135º C with frequent replenishment.
LIDOK EP 1 and 2 are the grades normally recommended for general lubrication. LIDOK EP 0 and 1 can be pumped easily and are well suited to centralised grease systems. LIDOK EP 0 will generally be required only for applications in which it is necessary to pump the grease through long centralised system lines exposed to low ambient temperatures. LIDOK EP 2 is the grade most frequently recommended for general-purpose applications. This grade is especially recommended where the design of the bearing requires a grease that resists slumping. LIDOK EP 000 is a semi-fluid lithium-base grease with extreme-pressure additives in a high viscosity base oil. It is designed primarily for use in gear cases. It stays in place, provides dependable lubrication, and is easily pumpable, even by high-volume pumps.

The Lidok EP family of greases is an important member of the Exxon brand of premium quality products that have gained a worldwide reputation for reliability under tough operating conditions. As with other Exxon brand greases, Lidok EP products are manufactured to the highest levels of quality and consistency. This grease family offers the following properties and performance features:

• Manufactured under ExxonMobils stringent Product Quality Manangement System (PQMS) quality control standards
• Very good extreme-pressure and anti-wear performance provides reliable equipment protection
• Good oxidation resistance and high-temperature performance for long grease life
• Good water resistance and rust protection ensures proper lubrication even in water-contaminated operating conditions
• Recommended for plain and anti-friction bearings, and gears in a wide range of industrial applications

Exxon LIDOK EP greases are general-purpose industrial products used in a wide range of applications including:

• Centralised grease systems (LIDOK EP 0 and 1), though LIDOK EP 0 will generally be required only for applications in which it is necessary to pump the grease through long centralised system lines exposed to low ambient temperatures such as those on conveyors, blast furnace and skip hoists
• General purpose applications; grease gun, grease cups, etc (LIDOK EP 1 and 2)
• Gear cases such as those in underground mining machinery, where leakage can be a problem (LIDOK EP 000)
