Exxon DYNAGEAR is a premium quality open gear grease that offers easy dispensability without solvents, thus reducing safety and environmental concerns. It is formulated to provide outstanding service in a variety of industrial open gear applications over an operating temperature range of -20°C to 100°C. Its dependable protection over a wide range of operating conditions can help extend equipment life. DYNAGEAR contains no petroleum solvents or chlorinated solvents. Solvent-free DYNAGEAR is not highly flammable; however, as with any other mineral-oil-based lubricant, normal fire hazard precautions should be taken.
Exxon DYNAGEAR is formulated with non-asphaltic base stock, which reduces potentially damaging lubricant buildup on gear-tooth roots and facilitates cleanup. Formulated with a unique additive package, the load-carrying ability of the high-viscosity base oil has been enhanced with a potent extreme-pressure additive package, plus a high-treat of molybdenum disulphide (moly). The additive package also provides excellent rust and corrosion prevention. DYNAGEAR can absorb moderate amounts of water with little or no change in penetration. Field tests have shown that DYNAGEAR provides a good protective film, when applied appropriately, even in the presence of heavy rain, snow, and dust. DYNAGEAR is formulated with non-asphaltic base stock which facilitates lubricant cleanup and virtually eliminates lubricant buildup on gears and gear-tooth roots, a condition that often leads to costly gear and pinion misalignment.

Exxon DYNAGEAR is a multipurpose grease intended primarily for open gear applications that can be applied manually or through a centralised system. Specific applications include:

• Kilns, dryers, debarking drums and other rotating machinery with open gear drives
• Ball, rod and sag mills
• The open gears of shovels where the ambient temperature does not fall below 200 C
