Passenger Cars - Most carmakers specify gear oils with API GL-5 or MIL-L-2105D performance for hypoid automotive drives. SUPERFLO Gear Oil SAE 80W-90 is the proper viscosity recommendation for the majority of automotive applications. For applications requiring a higher viscosity grade, SUPERFLO Gear Oil 85W-140 is recommended.

Commercial Equipment - SUPERFLO Gear Oil also is suitable for trucks, buses, farm equipment, construction equipment, and many other applications requiring a gear oil of this quality. SUPERFLO Gear Oil lubricants also meet API MT-1 requirements for non-synchronized manual transmissions in buses and heavy-duty trucks. Compared with API GL-5 lubricants, API MT-1 lubricants provide superior protection against thermal degradation, component wear and oil seal deterioration.

SUPERFLO Gear Oil is also recommended for steering gear lubrication where a gear oil is specified.

SUPERFLO Gear Oil is the correct product for most manual transmissions where an API GL-5 lubricant is required. It is also suitable for most differentials. However, it should not be used where the manufacturer specifies an engine oil. In such cases, SUPERFLO motor oil is recommended.

Do not attempt to clean since residue is difficult to remove, and even a trace of remaining material constitutes an explosive hazard. "Empty" drums should be completely drained, properly bunged, and promptly returned to a drum reconditioner. All other containers should be disposed of in an environmentally safe manner and in accordance with governmental regulations.
